Day 1 lunch-the Newark Earthworks "The Great Circle" - "The Great Octagon"

On the journey back to the bus after lunch I walked through a cute little garden and found these beautiful flowers.

On our way to the Great Circle in Newark Ohio, Wayne pointed out this huge picnic basket. It's pretty huge.

After a drive we finally arrived to "Newark Earthworks The Great Circle."

Rod is showing us how "the Great Circle" can represent the "Plan of Salvation" Can you figure it out?

Me adventuring around the trails around the mounds or earthwork walls.

If you were to climb up these walls you would fall into a ditch made by the Nephites. It's smaller than it was years and years ago but this is Rod showing us what the Lamanites would of done while they were attacking the Nephites.

More pictures of the ditches.

The bridge across one of the ditches.

The group listening Wayne.

The center of the circle. Having a little devotional explaining what could be where Christ came after he died to the Nephites REFERENCE: 3 Nephi 8-10
A statue by the entrance of the earthworks.
